The Berkhamsted Workshop
Two hours, five people,
one long table.
A small, friendly monthly workshop for people who'd like to actually use AI, not just read about it. No slides, no tech jargon, no being made to feel slow. Just us, a good coffee, and your real work in front of you.
The details
Small on purpose.
Upcoming sessions
What we'll be talking about.
Getting started -- your first real conversation with Claude
We'll start from zero. Opening it up, asking your first question, and finding the two or three everyday uses that'll earn it a permanent tab on your laptop.
Writing -- emails, letters, complaints, and things you've been putting off
The one most people feel immediate relief from. Bring three real things you need to write this month. You'll leave with drafts of all three.
Thinking partner -- decisions, planning, and getting unstuck
Using Claude as a sounding board for the bigger stuff: a career move, a tricky conversation, a business decision you've been circling for weeks.
What to expect
A relaxed two hours, roughly like this.
There's a structure, but it's loose. The point is that you leave with something useful, not that I get through my notes.
Coffee and introductions
Who you are, what you do, and what you'd quite like to stop doing.
The session's topic, gently
A short walk-through of the month's idea, with examples from real life.
Your turn, with help
You work on your own thing. I go round the table. We all chip in.
Lunch and questions
A proper sandwich, and time for anything you didn't want to ask in front of the group.
Home, with homework (optional)
One thing to try this week, sent by email the following morning.
Reserve a spot
Come along, it's quite nice.
Fill this in and I'll email you back within a day with the venue, payment details, and a couple of friendly questions so I can plan the session around the people in the room.
